How to Maximize Your GPU and CPU Performance

There are several ways to make your GPU and CPU perform at their best, so let’s take a look at some of the different options.

How to Maximize Your GPU and CPU Performance

Sign in and Enable Telemetry

First, sign in to your NVIDIA GeForce Experience account. Next, enable telemetry for your GPU and CPU. Doing this will allow you to collect data about your system's performance. After collecting this data, you can then use it to help optimize your system's settings for better gaming performance. Finally, be sure to save your changes and enjoy the improved gaming experience! For AMD users  , if you want to maximize your game performance, first make sure that Radeon Chill is enabled by navigating to the Chill tab under Preferences > Frame Rate Control. Once enabled, adjust any of the following settings: Max FPS (choose a number between 30-60) for best-looking graphics or Target Average FPS (choose a number between 40-80) for increased consistency during gameplay with lower power consumption and fan noise.

Go Back to Previous Versions of Windows

If you're having performance issues with your games, one thing you can try is reverting back to a previous version of Windows. This will give you the best possible performance for your games. To do this, go to the control panel and select System. From here, click on Advanced system settings and then select System Protection. Choose the drive you want to restore and click Configure. Select Turn on system protection and choose how much space you want to use for your restore point. Once you've done that, just follow the prompts until it's complete. Next time you have a problem like this, just restart your computer and make sure to boot from a Restore Point to get better performance out of your games!

If your using Windows 11, its not optimized well for gaming purpose, then for better gaming experience Go back to windows 10.

Update Windows

Updating Windows can help improve your gaming performance by ensuring that you have the latest security patches and system updates. To update Windows, open the Settings app and go to Update & Security. Then, click Check for updates. If any updates are available, they will be downloaded and installed automatically. You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. One of the new features in Windows 10 is a power slider. When using this slider, you'll notice that there's a battery icon next to it. The battery icon shows how much power your laptop has left before it dies, so if you want to conserve power while playing games, slide the bar all the way down towards Battery Saver.

Disable Animations (Windows 10)

1. Go to Settings > System > Advanced display settings.

2. Scroll down to the Advanced graphics settings section.

3. Click on the Graphics settings link.

4. In the popup window, select High performance for both the CPU and GPU options.

5. Click Apply at the bottom of the window, then close it.

6. You can now go back to the main settings menu and click Personalization > Start to restart your              computer.

7. Once Windows 10 has restarted, open Settings again, this time going through each tab until you find      Personalization.

8. Find the option titled Animations in the taskbar and set it to Always perform animations in the                taskbar.

Turn Off Transparency Effects

Windows 10 includes a variety of transparency effects, which can minimize distractions and help you focus on your game. However, these effects can also have a negative impact on performance. So, if you're looking to eke out every last bit of performance from your rig, you'll want to turn off transparency effects. Here's how, Right-click on the desktop and choose Personalize. From there, select Adjust the appearance of windows at the bottom left corner. Now head to the right side of the window and toggle off any effect that you see in the preview pane in front of you. The only one I recommend leaving on is Show thumbnails instead of icons. Click Apply when finished for instant results!

Turn off System Icons in the Notification Area

System icons in the notification area can cause your computer to lag, especially if you have a lot of them running at once. To fix this, open the Settings app and go to System > Notifications & Actions. Then, scroll down and turn off the Show notifications on the lock screen option. You can also turn off individual system icons from here. If you're not sure which ones are causing the problem, try turning them all off and then turning them back on one by one until you find the culprit.

Switch To An SSD

One of the best ways to improve your computer's performance is to switch from a standard hard drive to a solid state drive. Here's why: an SSD stores data on interconnected flash-memory chips, which are significantly faster than the spinning disks used by hard drives. That means your computer can boot up faster, games will load quicker, and files will transfer more quickly.

Close Unnecessary Programs from Task Manager

If you want to eke out every last bit of performance from your gaming rig, you need to make sure that your system is running as efficiently as possible. That means closing down any programs that you're not using at the moment. Here's how: First, open up Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Then head over to the Processes tab and look for anything that's not a part of Windows' core functionality or an app you installed yourself (e.g., background processes). Right-click on it and select End process to kill it off. Next, find something called MSCONFIG in the list under Startup Programs and click it so that you can edit its settings. You'll see all of the programs that are set to start automatically when you boot up your computer. You'll notice a lot of them are Microsoft products like OneDrive, Maps, Weather, or News apps--but they're also ones that hog resources while they load. Head down the list and disable everything you don't recognize by selecting Disabled next to them.

Set Priority for Game Processes in Task Manager

1. Right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Task Manager.

2. Select the Details tab.

3. Right-click on the process for your game and select Set Priority > High.

4. If you have multiple processes for your game, repeat step 3 for each one.

5. Close Task Manager when you’re done.
